It is high time for us the Indian American community, to recognize our social responsibility to voice our concern on the pain and sufferings emanating from the gun culture in America. Our community is in the forefront of all other communities, including the mainstream, in education, economic achievement, contribution to the treasury, professional growth, and reaching the high echelons of all aspects of socio-economical-political arena of the society. Still we are fragmented; our community leaders color blind, backward-looking and oblivious of our surroundings. With a little awareness, willingness and courage, we could be a powerful social segment that could raise influential voice in the affairs that affect the society.
